If you're considering getting a Mounjaro prescription from Zava, the price is likely the first thing you'll think about. However, cost is only one part of the decision when getting a Mounjaro prescription online to support your weight loss journey. You should also find out who'll review your prescription, how it will be delivered, and the support you'll receive while on the medication.

Zava offers a doctor-led online weight management service, with different prices for each Mounjaro strength. In this guide, we'll outline all the costs, what's included in the service, and compare Zava Mounjaro with Curely to help you make an informed choice.

Key Takeaways

  • The price of Zava Mounjaro four-week pen ranges from £148.99 per 2.5 mg (published as of 26 October 2026) to £298.99 per 15 mg.
  • This price includes the medication, an online medical consultation, standard delivery (no extra charge), and ongoing support.
  • A GMC-registered doctor prescribes Mounjaro after assessing if it's appropriate for you.
  • With clinical approval, Zava provides next-working-day delivery via Royal Mail (which may take longer depending on the dispatch times).
  • In the UK, only a doctor or appropriately qualified pharmacist independent prescribers can prescribe Mounjaro, so it’s not available to buy over-the-counter.
  • Prices and promotional codes are subject to change, so please verify the total before paying.

What's Zava and How Is It Regulated?

Zava is a registered online healthcare service in the UK, operated by Health Bridge Limited. It provides remote medical consultations and online prescriptions, including weight-loss medication.

Health Bridge Limited is registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with registration number 1-201500907. The CQC rated Zava's registered clinical service Good in its 2023 inspection. Additionally, Zava has pharmacies on the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) register, such as premises under numbers 9011147 and 9012701 (CQC, 2023; ZAVA, 2026d).

Zava states that it has delivered more than 7 million treatments and treated 400,000 weight-loss patients. It has GMC-registered doctors who assess the prescription requests. Before deciding if treatment is appropriate, a doctor reviews the patient's medical information.

This differs slightly from what we offer at Curely. We provide pharmacist-led services, including online consultations and prescriptions for weight-loss injections. Both doctors and appropriately qualified pharmacist independent prescribers can prescribe Mounjaro, provided they meet UK professional and prescribing requirements.

These costs include four weekly injections, consultation, and ongoing support services. The final price may vary if a promotional code applies or you choose an optional paid delivery service. The cost is also based on the strength that your prescriber prescribes. Currently, Zava charges £150 more for its highest-strength pen than its starting-strength pen.

For perspective, our Mounjaro price comparison guide lists typical private UK prices for 2.5 mg between £130 and £180. These are subjective price comparisons and don't reflect future costs, as prices change often.

What's Covered in the Monthly Price

The medicine, clinical review, 24/7 aftercare, ongoing support, and a weight loss pack are included in the advertised treatment price at Zava (ZAVA, 2026b).

The Medication

Mounjaro contains the active ingredient tirzepatide, a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist. It stimulates receptors involved in blood sugar and appetite regulation. It also slows down gastric emptying, which may help people feel full for longer. Mounjaro is authorised in the UK for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and weight management for eligible adults in combination with diet and exercise (Eli Lilly and Company Limited, 2026).

Clinical trials show significant body weight reduction with Mounjaro when paired with a reduced-calorie diet. The 72-week SURMOUNT-1 trial showed that the 15 mg dose of tirzepatide resulted in a mean weight loss of 20.9% in patients who received the treatment, regardless of whether they continued treatment or not. An alternative on-treatment analysis reported 22.5%. Participants also showed inter-individual variability (Jastreboff et al., 2022; Eli Lilly and Company Limited, 2026).

Trials also found improvements in waist circumference and blood pressure. But Mounjaro had side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, and vomiting.

The Dose You're Prescribed

The usual starting dose for Mounjaro is 2.5 mg once weekly, which is gradually increased to the next effective dose, 5 mg per week. The dose may be increased by a further 2.5 mg, not more frequently than once every four weeks, depending on the clinical response and tolerability (Eli Lilly and Company Limited, 2026).

The highest strength may not be necessary for everyone. Your prescriber will review your response, side effects, and treatment objectives to recommend changes. A monthly cost may increase during treatment since Zava charges each strength separately.

The Doctor's Review and the Support Behind It

Zava includes a doctor's assessment and doesn't charge an extra consultation fee. It also promises unlimited aftercare and clinical messaging, available 24/7. Doctors are available to discuss treatment-related issues, such as side effects and changes to their health.

Zava also offers a weight management support pack, which includes nutritional and lifestyle information. When comparing services, these are important aspects to consider. A lower medication price may not come with the same level of clinical support.

Discount Codes, Bundles and Payment Plans

Currently, Zava offers an additional £40 discount for first-time customers who use the promotional code START40 (ZAVA, 2026b). Review the eligibility requirements and final checkout price of the code. A "first purchase" code lowers the up-front price, but may not be applicable to subsequent purchases.

Zava also offers eligible customers PayPal Pay in 3, which lets them pay a purchase in three interest-free instalments, if approved. This is a credit plan, not a discount on medications. Zava doesn't charge a subscription fee. You don't sign up for automatic payments (ZAVA, 2026c), but you can request treatment when needed.

What Using Zava Involves From Start to Finish

The Online Consultation

Zava starts with an online medical assessment instead of a traditional office visit. You provide your details, including weight, height, medical history, current medications, and treatment goals. Zava may also ask for photos to confirm your BMI.

For adult weight management, Mounjaro's licensed eligibility criteria generally include:

  • A BMI of 30 kg/m² or above.
  • A BMI of at least 27 kg/m² and below 30 kg/m², alongside a weight-related condition such as hypertension or prediabetes.

These are licensed prescribing criteria, not an automatic guarantee of treatment (MHRA, 2023). You must complete the assessment accurately. A doctor will decide if Mounjaro is appropriate after reviewing your information.

The Doctor's Review

Once you submit your request, a UK-registered doctor checks your medical history and any supporting information. Zava mentions that they process most weight loss requests within 24 hours, if not sooner. Further clinical questions or high demand may delay the approval in some cases (ZAVA, 2026a).

If clarification is needed, please refer to your patient account for messages. Zava states that it cancels and refunds requests if patients don't respond to requests for additional information within 14 days. If the doctor decides Mounjaro isn’t a good option for you, Zava states that they won't ask for any treatment costs.

Delivery and Packaging

Zava delivers free of charge within the next working day through Royal Mail, subject to clinical approval and cut-off times. Orders placed by 6 pm may be eligible for next-day delivery, but further checks may apply, and delivery could be delayed. An optional service for delivery by 1 pm the following day costs £7.99, subject to its earlier cut-off times (ZAVA, 2026a).

After dispatch, you’ll receive tracking information from Royal Mail. Zava uses discreet packaging with protective materials to maintain proper temperatures during shipping. Store Mounjaro in the refrigerator immediately and follow the storage directions provided with the pen. Zava also warns against diverting or rescheduling parcels, as this can delay delivery and affect temperature control.

Reordering and Ongoing Care

Zava lets patients submit repeat treatment requests online. Previously provided information remains available for your review, but you'll need to provide updated medical information.

The suitability and treatment changes are continually evaluated by a clinician. Unlike other stores, Zava doesn't take membership payments, so you'll need to arrange repeat orders on time. It also offers secure messaging with its clinical team.

Why Zava Mounjaro Price Changes As Treatment Progresses

The cost of Mounjaro prescription may increase as treatment progresses. The price of Zava Mounjaro for four-week doses ranges from £148.99 to £298.99, as advertised, depending on strength. So, when the prescribed dose changes, it can noticeably affect your budget, positively or negatively.

However, treatment doesn't automatically progress to 15 mg. Your prescriber will decide if this is a good idea, based on how well you respond to the medication and tolerate it. Pharmacies can also change prices without any clinical changes. An introductory discount on your prescription may run out, and when it does, you’ll pay more for the same prescription in the future.

Always look at the full price range, not just the initial offer. If you're concerned about the rising cost of treatment, read our guide on what to do about the Mounjaro price increase. It explains your options and what the latest research says about your treatment choices. Don't change your medication to save money without consulting a qualified prescriber.

Does Zava Offer Good Value for Mounjaro?

Zava clearly states its costs and offers doctor-led assessments and continued medical care, with no forced subscription charges. Published prices at six strengths tend to be higher than Curely's advertised starting prices. However, the difference has narrowed after Zava's latest price reductions.

The service may appeal to patients who prefer an online assessment followed by a doctor review or the value of ongoing communication with Zava's clinical team. Cost is also important, especially if the treatment continues for a number of months. Look at the total price, the clinical review process, and the support offered, not just the first-month discount.

Zava vs Curely: How the Prices Compare

Curely offers Mounjaro prescriptions as a registered UK online pharmacy that offers pharmacist-led weight management care. The prices below are as advertised by Zava and as published by Curely.

Curely Delivery Fees

At Curely, we charge £2.99 or offer FREE tracked delivery on all orders over £100, including Mounjaro treatment. Deliveries are Monday to Saturday, with an advertised next-day delivery cut-off of midday Monday to Friday.

We’ve adopted an innovative approach to Mounjaro packaging, using discreet, unbranded, temperature-controlled packaging. However, we don’t offer a customer collection service and operate online.

Curely Consultation and Review

We provide a free online prescribing consultation, which is included with the prescription. Our appropriately qualified pharmacists assess medical information and make the prescribing decisions.

During a March 2025 inspection, the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) found that we provide weight-loss injections via pharmacist prescribers who use video calls as part of the assessment process. We also provide ongoing support through messages from the pharmacists and a weight tracker.

The main difference between the two is the prescribing model. Zava employs doctors, while Curely has qualified pharmacist prescribers. Both must follow professional standards and assess suitability before prescribing medicines.

Curely Additional Costs

Curely also has a subscription discount and advertises the 2.5 mg Mounjaro from £108.90 (Subscribers) to £121.80(One-time purchase). Consultations are free and tracked delivery is included for all orders over £100. But patients should enquire if the starting price is a subscription or an introductory offer.

Zava lists all six Mounjaro strengths directly on its treatment page. We also provide a similar cost breakdown in Curely's pricing guide. To compare accurately, check the checkout price for the strength you have been prescribed and the terms of any recurring payments.

Is Zava's Mounjaro Service Right for You?

If you prefer a doctor to prescribe, want the exact cost of treatment, and want ongoing clinical messaging without automatic payments, Zava may be a good choice. Zava also advertises a £40 first-order discount, while Curely's displayed prices may depend on a subscription. However, Curely offers better value for money if affordability is your main concern because its discounted subscription prices are lower in all six strengths.

Whichever provider you choose, check the pharmacy's GPhC registration and make sure a qualified prescriber assesses your medical history. The MHRA advises against purchasing weight loss products from unregulated bodies or without a suitable prescription. These products could be both fake and dangerous (MHRA, 2026).

If injections aren't suitable for you, weight loss pills might be another treatment option. Their suitability and costs vary, so discuss the alternatives with a qualified healthcare professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Zava Inform Your GP?

Zava doesn't automatically inform your GP about your Mounjaro prescription. It generally shares treatment details with your consent, although exceptions may apply when necessary to protect your health (ZAVA, n.d.). You can request GP notification through your patient account. It's also worth informing your GP directly so they have an accurate record of your medication.

Is Tirzepatide the Same as Ozempic?

No. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro, while Ozempic contains semaglutide. Both medicines help regulate blood sugar, but they act on different receptors. In the UK, Ozempic is licensed for type 2 diabetes, while Wegovy, which also contains semaglutide, is licensed for weight management.

Can You Switch Provider Partway Through Treatment?

Yes. You can switch Mounjaro providers, but your new prescriber must assess your medical history before continuing treatment. For example, Curely requires patients switching with a BMI of 23 or above to provide evidence of their existing prescription. Curely doesn't accept new maintenance patients with a BMI below 23. Keep your treatment records handy to help with the transfer.

Is Mounjaro Available on the NHS?

Yes. The NHS offers Mounjaro to eligible patients with type 2 diabetes or obesity, though the criteria differ. NICE recommended tirzepatide for weight management in December 2024 (NICE, 2024). NHS England is introducing it in phases, prioritising people with the greatest clinical need. Ask your GP about local eligibility and availability.

Final Thoughts

Zava offers a doctor-led Mounjaro service, with prices ranging from £148.99 to £298.99 per four-week pen. Your prescribed dose determines the cost, while introductory discounts may reduce your first payment.

Zava includes clinical assessments, delivery, and ongoing support, but other regulated providers may charge less. Before choosing, compare the full price range, prescribing process, and aftercare. The right choice depends on safe prescribing, reliable support, and a treatment cost you can manage beyond the first month.
